The seaside town of Lorne is one of Victoria’s most popular weekend escapes and is also home to one of the World’s most idyllic destinations – the Great Ocean Road.

Melbourne Airport, 140km from Lorne, is a major international hub serviced by all the major domestic carriers. Avalon Airport, located just north of Geelong, is 90km from Lorne.

Two hours from Melbourne’s CBD by car, Lorne features a sheltered two-kilometre beach, plenty of cafes, shops, boutiques and galleries, and proximity to natural attractions such as the Erskine Falls, the Cumberland River and Loutit Bay.

The nearby town of Apollo Bay is another popular tourist destination, offering both swimming and surf beaches, as well as a large boat harbour and marina.

For further information about Apollo Bay and the Otways, make sure you check out this online guide.

The Great Ocean Road has several local accredited Visitor Information Centres. Drop in or call for more information on the region and help with planning your holiday.
